Battani Mixture (Peas Mixture)


Ingredients
  • Battani (Peas) – Soaked overnight – 2 cups
  • Onions -4
  • Tomatoes-4
  • Green chillies-4
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala-2 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder
  • Coriander Powder-1 tbsp
  • Tamarind Pulp - 2 tbsp
  • Salt – To taste
  • Oil – 2 tbsp

 Method
  1. Cook the soaked Battani and keep aside
  2. In a kadai add 2 tbsp of oil, after it heats add the green chillies and ginger garlic paste.
  3. Add onions and fry till golden brown, Now add the tomatoes, salt, red chillie powder, garam masala, coriander power, tamrind pulp and close the kadai with lid cook for 5mins
  4. To the above add the cooked battani. Keep on low flame and cook for 5mins
  5. Shift to small katories and garish with onions, tomato, coriander and sev.
