Kaara Podi
Ingredients
Black-gram dal - 1 cup
Bengal-gram dal - 1 cup
Red Chilies - 70 gm
Tamarind - lemon size
Sesame- 1/4 cup
Sugar - 1spoon
Salt - to taste
Method
- Fry all the above ingredients separately without oil
- Grind all the ingredients without adding sesame seeds
- Add sesame at the end and grind once.
- Podi is ready.
This can be taken with Idly, Dosa or with steamed rice and ghee.
